This poor goose was evidently in a fight or something. I see him every time I go to the park and he is always alone. He is unabl e to fly and the other geese abandoned him.

I think that the various assortment of wild mushrooms and other fungi are so interesting. They take on different shapes and colors...all very unique. My favorite is the one shaped like a flower. . . .

Last week, we had the remnants of tropical storm Faye come through Charlotte. On the one hand it was good to have some much needed rain. On the other hand, it caused a lot of flooding . . .
